  The Certificate in Estate Agency Practice is designed to produce competent, articulate and professional graduates through a rigorous examination and assessment system. This is a challenging two year course designed to prepare students to enter the profession as junior negotiators.

Students who register for the Certificate in Estate Agency Practice course will be designated Student Members. Those who obtain a Certificate and subsequently acquire two years experience in an auctioneering practice (or three if they run their own auctioneering practice), approved by IPAV, qualify to apply for full IPAV membership.

Entry Requirements  

The minimum entry requirement to the Certificate course is a pass Leaving Certificate in five subjects (to include maths and English) with at least 2 D's on HL paper.

There is also provision for mature students
Applicants will be interviewed by the college they appy to
     
Course Fees   A professional fee of €575 each year is payable to IPAV
A separate student services fee is payable each year to the college
Student services fees may be higher for International students
A course registration fee may also be charged by the college
     
Semesterisation   The course is semesterised with exams in December and May.
In addition to examination, students will undertake coursework in each semester which will count towards the overall grade for the year
Students must pass all subjects in Year 1 to progress into Year 2
Students must pass all subjects in Year 2 to gain the Certificate
     
Timetables   Course timetables are set by the individual colleges
Coursework deadlines and exam dates are set by IPAV
