| IPAV AUTUMN SEMINARS |
|
IPAV’s first Autumn Seminar held in the Malton Hotel, Killarney on Tuesday, October 9, was very successful with a large turnout of members from the south-west.
Chief Executive Fintan McNamara expressed his appreciation to all those who attended and said the event updated auctioneers and estate agents in a number of key areas.
The seminars cover key legal issues including entitlement to fees and effective marketing skills in a challenging market. IPAV Chief Executive Fintan McNamara is also updating members on relevant issues including progress on the new Regulator for the industry and the operation of the Private Residential Tenancies Board (PRTB).
“Continuous Professional Development or CPD is now a central part of virtually every profession and auctioneering and estate agency is no different,” said Mr McNamara. “Seminars like these will be compulsory in a short time and members should develop a pattern of attending a minimum number of refresher courses each year.”
He added that the venues of Killarney, Dublin and Athlone were selectively chosen to allow all members the opportunity to get to a venue within a reasonable distance.
Each Seminar runs from 7pm to 9.30pm.
