Smith Property is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Consultant Commercial Red Book / Blue Book Surveyor to support the continued expansion of our professional valuation and advisory services division.
This is a flexible consultancy-based opportunity suited to an experienced property professional or chartered surveyor capable of undertaking commercial valuation assignments independently and to the highest professional standards.
The successful consultant will work across a broad range of commercial, mixed-use, investment, and development property instructions throughout Ireland.
The ideal candidate would have:

- Strong commercial property knowledge
- Experience preparing valuation reports
- Excellent analytical and report-writing skills
- Professional presentation and communication abilities
- Ability to manage instructions independently
- Strong understanding of Irish property markets
- High ethical and compliance standards
Preferred Qualifications
- MSCSI / MRICS / REV
- Registered Valuer status
- Previous commercial valuation experience
- Existing professional or banking relationships
The Key Responsibilities include:
The Consultant will be engaged on a flexible instruction basis to provide:
- Commercial property valuations
- Bank security valuations
- Investment and market value appraisals
- Development land valuations
- Market rent assessments
- Probate and taxation valuations
- Acquisition and disposal advice
- Professional advisory and consultancy services
Assignments may include:
- Retail properties,
- Office buildings.
- Industrial/logistics assets,
- Mixed-use developments,
- Hospitality properties,
- Development sites,
- Agricultural/commercial crossover assets
All work must be carried out in accordance with:
- RICS Red Book Standards
- TEGOVA Blue Book Standards
- SCSI professional guidance
