We are seeking an enthusiastic Property Inspector to join their busy team dealing with a substantial portfolio of properties for large-scale PRS clients around Dublin.

The role requires someone who is able to work independently in a busy environment whilst working as part of a team.

The Property Inspector is responsible for inspecting the properties thoroughly as part of the routine inspections, determining property condition during a tenancy. The inspection involves assessing that the tenants are adhering to obligations of their tenancy agreements for the condition of the property and documenting any safety or fire hazards, together with excessive wear and tear.  The Property Inspector should have excellent communication, time management and coordinating skills.

The following tasks are indicative of the role, but the list is not exhaustive:

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating with Property Managers regarding upcoming inspections and access requirements.
  • Communicating with tenants and updating inspection schedules.
  • Performing inspections of properties.
  • Checking that the property meets minimum standards and fire safety for rented residential accommodation.
  • Determining necessary maintenance matters or items of concern to the Property Manager in a timely manner.
  • Taking photographs of landlord’s contents, fixtures & fittings.
  • Noting excessive wear & tear or damage and logging details.
  • Maintaining a report on inspections and action required by the Property Manager.
  • Following the Company procedures & processes.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Property Inspector, maintenance coordinator, property administration, Property Manager or a similar in the industry.
  • A valid driver’s license is mandatory.
  • Enthusiastic & motivated.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Have fluency in written & oral English.
  • Proficiency in the standard Microsoft office suite including MS Word, Excel and iPad applications.
  • Show confidence in dealing with people both in person and over the phone.
  • Willingness to work hard and ability work on own initiative and attention to detail are essential.
